Jeannie Mai is denying any claims made by Jeezy that she is gatekeeping her daughter.

According to new court documents, the talk show host recently submitted a response to the rapper’s claim about her trying to intervene with him spending time with their one-year-old daughter, Monaco. The claim says that she’s not keeping their child away from him and that she’s been accommodating to Jeezy’s schedule.

Mai says that she wants Jeezy to have a relationship with their daughter.

Mai’s attorney wrote, “It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being.”

Her attorney continued, “These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.”

Jeannie Mai and Jeezy’s divorce proceedings began when the Atlanta native filed earlier this year. Since then there has been implications of infidelity that could have consequences under their prenup.
