Jeezy continues to be open about his childhood and has revealed that he has been sexually violated as a child.

In his interview with Nia Long, the rapper talked about the moment that his innocence was taken from him after he thought he was in a safe space. The topic came about when the actress asked him about the first time he had experienced trauma.

“I think it was several things,” he stated. “I think the first was being left with a babysitter that was a woman that was older than me and her, you know, touching me and doing things to me that don’t normally happen to kids.” Long clarified, “Like molesting?” He confirmed, “Right, basically.” Jeezy then added that he was introduced to sex a very young age.

The conversation then shifted and Jeezy began to talk about his decision to file for divorce his wife Jeannie Mai after two years of marriage. “This has not been an easy journey,” he said. “I’m saddened, I’m disappointed, I’m uneasy.”

However, Jeezy relies on his faith to get through this difficult time. “God has put me in a different path and that path is going to entail for me to take care of myself and to love myself and to be in the best situation where I can thrive.”

Jeezy recently opened up about attending therapy with Mai and revealed that it couldn’t save his marriage. “I don’t like to fail at anything. I can only be responsible for myself and I can only do what I can do. I can’t expect someone else to do what I am doing.”
