Former Dirty Money member, Kalenna Harper, speaks out about Dawn Richard’s lawsuit against Diddy.
According to reports, Harper was mentioned in the lawsuit 33 times. She address the issue on social media. “While I fully respect Dawn’s right to recount her experiences, I want to emphasize that her accoun reflects her personal perspective and should not be interpreted as a universal truth applicable to everyone involved,” she said.
Her statement continued with her distancing herself from the situation. “Many of the allegations and incidents described in this suit are not representative of my experiences, and some do not align with my own truth.”
Harper also denied knowing of any abuse the took place. We previously reported that Dawn Richard filed a lawsuit against Diddy citing abuse from when she was on the reality TV show, Making The Band.
The lawsuit also claims that she and Harper witnessed an incident of Diddy throwing his then-girlfriend, Cassie against at wall, choking her, and dragging her up the stairs. They would then suggest that Cassie should leave Diddy, however, once he found out he said, “Y’all b*****s don’t get in my relationship… Don’t tell my b**** what she need to be doing… Just make money and shut the f*** up.”
Richard also claimed that the media mogul threatened to end their career. “I shelve career… You could be missing… You b****** want to die today.” Diddy’s team has since responded to the lawsuit and said that he is shocked and disappointed by the lawsuit.
His lawyer said in a statement, “If Ms. Richard had such a negative experience with Making the Band and Danity Kane, she would not have chosen to continue working directly with Mr. Combs for Dirty Money, nor would she have returned for the Making the Band reboot in 2020 or agreed to be featured on The Love Album last year.”
The statement continued, “It’s unfortunate that Ms. Richard has cast their 20-year friendship aside to try and get money from him, but Mr. Combs is confidently standing on truth and looks forward to proving that in court.”
