Longtime reality star Kandi Burruss says she discovered that her husband, Todd Tucker, was secretly “talking to other women behind her back,” a revelation that helped prompt her decision to file for divorce.

Trust Issues and Emotional Turmoil

According to a source close to the couple, Burruss “had no idea” about Tucker’s communications with other women. “She was not happy” when she learned of it, the source said.

Burruss officially filed for divorce on Nov. 21, 2025. In a livestream appearance days later, she described the past weeks as “a pretty crazy time.” She admitted, “I’m all over the place,” and acknowledged going through ups and downs.

“Obviously, going through a divorce is definitely not the easiest thing,” she said. “Sometimes you’re cool … then sometimes you have your moments of sadness.”

She also addressed the challenges of publicly appearing fine while emotionally struggling. “All the times you’ve been seeing me online [all smiles] means nothing,” she said. “I’ve been going through it, child. I’ve been going through it.”

Despite the turmoil, Burruss emphasized she has “no regrets.” She said she wants to remain focused on her children, co-parenting with love and respect, and tending to her own growth and peace.

Remarkably, just one week before the divorce filing, Burruss publicly praised Tucker during a speech at BravoCon 2025. She thanked him for “surviving the blogs, the shade, the rumors, the lies, the truth, the almost fights, the actual fights, the reunions.” She added with a laugh: “You earned this award too.”

But according to sources, behind the scenes the marriage had been struggling for some time. Friends say the revelation of Tucker’s conversations with other women pushed Burruss over the edge.

They first met in 2011 while working on the reality show The Real Housewives of Atlanta (RHOA). The two married in April 2014 after a celebrated engagement and a themed ceremony. Over time, the pair juggled busy careers, family, and business ventures. But in a 2020 couples therapy episode, they admitted their hectic work lives had hurt their intimacy and emotional connection.

In her statement about the divorce, Burruss said, “This is a difficult and emotional time, but my focus remains on protecting my peace, being the best mother I can be, and co-parenting with love and respect.” She added: “I’m stepping into a new chapter pouring into my work, my family and my own growth.”

Burruss says she intends to take this time to regroup and work on herself and her children. She asked for privacy, grace and understanding from fans and media as the family navigates this transition.
