Kevin Hart is back with his latest film.

Hart is set to star in 72 Hours, a comedy to premiere on Netflix.

According to the synopsis, Hart stars “as a 40-year-old advertising executive named Joe. The plot kicks off when Joe is accidentally added to a group text intended for a crew of Gen Z twenty-somethings planning a bachelor party. Seeing an opportunity to conduct “market research” to save his flailing career, Joe decides to crash the three-day trip in Miami.”

Directed by Tim Story—marking another collaboration between the two after Ride Along, the ensemble cast includes Marcello Hernández, Mason Gooding, Teyana Taylor, and Andy Garcia.

Produced under Hart’s Hartbeat banner along with Will Packer and Davis Entertainment, the movie leans into the generational friction and digital-age social anxiety that arises when Joe tries to keep up with a group that operates on an entirely different wavelength.

KATT WILLIAMS APPEARS ON ‘THE ROAST OF KEVIN HART’

Always busy, Hart recently headlined The Roast of Kevin Hart on Netflix. Streaming live from the Kia Forum on May 10, 2026, the event was a finale to the Netflix Is A Joke Fest.

Hosted by Shane Gillis, the three-hour “no-holds-barred” included appearances from Jeff Ross, Chelsea Handler, Pete Davidson, and Regina Hall, with a standout performance by Sheryl Underwood that earned a standing ovation. In a viral full-circle moment, Tom Brady made a surprise appearance to “return the favor” after Hart hosted his 2024 roast.

Arguably, the most surprising guest of the roast was Katt Williams. which served as the official end to their decade-long public rivalry. Introduced by Regina Hall, Williams delivered a biting set where he joked that Hart was an “industry plant” and mocked his height, claiming Hart was “six feet tall” before seeing Williams’ act. He also famously quipped that the roast was his “Riyadh Comedy Festival” and joked about Hart’s close relationship with Netflix leadership.

The night lived up to Hart’s “brutal or nothing” demand, skewering everything from his height to his career milestones, and ended with a characteristically “surgical” rebuttal from the comedian himself.
