Lizzo opened up about her mental health and shared some shocking but sad news.

During a speaking engagement in Los Angeles, the singer talked about how she overcame her battle with depression in 2023. In 2023, Lizzo was accused of sexual misconduct, racial and sexual harassment, and creating a hostile work environment by some of her former backup dancers and former stylist.

Although she is still facing legal issues, singer said that her next album titled, “Love In Real Life” was inspired by the time she had a beautiful moment with a fan while suffering with her mental health issues.

“I was in such a dark, deep depression. I was so heartbroken by the world and so deeply hurt that I didn’t want to live anymore, and I was so deeply afraid of people that I didn’t want to be seen. Eventually, I got over that fear,” the “Truth Hurts” singer said.

She went on to explain that her encounter with a fan at a concert changed her outlook on life. “After that experience I was like, ‘Damn, you can’t get this sh*t on the internet, bro. This is the kind of love you can only get in real life.’ And I don’t share that story to gain some sort of sympathy. We’re beyond that, b***h. Look at me!” she said.

Before ending her speech, she urged the audience to reach out to someone willing to help and listen. “If you hate the way you look, reach out to someone who loves you and who will tell you, ‘You are f*****g beautiful as you are are right now, no matter how your changes.’ Because you may not believe, but you are special,” she said.
