Marlon Wayans showed his support for the LGBTQIA+ community during Pride month and some fans are not happy about it.

The actor, 51, posted a series of photos of him wearing a black bucket hat with a rainbow stripe around it, as well as a rainbow flag draped over his shoulder, a half rainbow-colored face mask and surrounded by multi-colored balls on the floor.

In the caption, he wrote, “Happy PRIDE to all my LGBTQ+ peoples.” He continued, “P.S. I’m STRAIGHT… well, according to my child CISGENDER male. I just love and support my peoples.”

He went on to post another photo from the photoshoot with a message addressing the hate he was receiving. “Yeah and just for the HATE MONGERS… I’m posting ANOTHER.” Wayans added, “As a father of a child in the LGBTQ+ community I show my support. Zero f***s what people think. If I lost you…GOOD! Your hateful a** never loved me in the first place. How can you love anyone when you’re too busy judging? Some of y’all funny. I’m a troll. I’ll post all day.”

Marlon Wayans has been very open about supporting his transgender son, Kai. In November, he openly spoke about going through the stages of “ignorance and denial to complete unconditional love and acceptance.”

He then revealed that he had to be honest about his journey of accepting his son. “It took me all of a week, and in that week I grew the most that I ever did in my life,” the actor said. “You understand the purpose of kid and the beauty of unconditional love. At the end of the day, in my heart, the only thing that matters to me is that my child is happy.”
