Mary J. Blige is ready to bring new music to her fans with the release of her upcoming album Gratitude, set for November 15. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul also revealed a North American tour starting in January 2025, titled For My Fans.
‘Gratitude’ Album and Final Studio Record?
During an appearance on Sherri on September 23, Blige opened up about her new album and reflected on what “gratitude” means to her. “I mean, look at my life right now. I’m in a constant state of gratitude. I feel good. I have jobs and opportunities. I’m healthy. My family’s healthy,” she said.
Blige teased earlier this year that Gratitude might be her last studio album. However, when asked to clarify, she gave a playful response: “Everybody says that. I mean, OK. I guess it’s not then.”
Fans will have a few months to learn all the lyrics before the album hits shelves, just in time for the holidays. Blige’s long-awaited 15th studio album follows the success of her Grammy-nominated Good Morning Gorgeous.
Blige’s ‘For My Fans’ Tour Kicks Off January 2025
Blige is not stopping at new music. Along with R&B powerhouses Ne-Yo and Mario, she’s set to hit the road in January 2025. The For My Fans tour promises to be a heartfelt experience for her dedicated followers.
“When it’s all said and done, it’s never all said and done,” Blige tweeted. “I owe my fans a gratitude I can’t put into words, so I put it into a show.”
Although exact tour dates haven’t been released yet, Blige will be performing in major cities like New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Chicago. The artist presale for tickets runs until September 26, with general sales starting on October 1.
This tour is a special thank you to fans who have supported her over her three-decade career. “If you are a Mary J. Blige fan, this is for you,” she shared on Sherri.
