The son of Percy “Master P” Miller and two other students have been arrested for theft.
According to multiple reports, Hercy Miller, 24, along with Brock Felder, 20, and Peter Dadson Jr., 25, were arrested on Nov 27 after they allegedly stole refrigerators from the campus of Southern Utah University.
According to arrest documents obtained by KTVX-TV, the three athletes are accused of taking two refrigerators, each valued at $1,500, from the loading dock of the Cedar City school’s campus bookstore. Security footage captured the trio loading the appliances into their vehicles on November 11, just days before their arrest.
Dadson Jr. and Miller told police they took the refrigerators because they thought they were being tossed, explaining that the appliances were sitting on the school’s loading dock for “almost a month.” Felder told police that while he helped his teammates, but that one of the other suspects initiated the alleged crime.
“[Dadson Jr.] said that he believed they were being thrown away and that it was OK to take them,” the documents said.
The three men were booked into the Iron County Jail and were released on Thursday, Nov. 28, according to the television news station.
The basketball team has not taken any disciplinary action against them as a result of the incident. The co-defendants have been playing in games, with their head coach referring to the incident as an innocent mix-up.
