Megan Thee Stallion is addressing fans after a sudden medical emergency forced her to exit a Broadway performance early, sparking concern across social media.

The Houston rapper, who recently made her Broadway debut in Moulin Rouge! The Musical, reportedly began feeling unwell during a March 31 show. According to early reports, Megan became “very ill” mid-performance, prompting the production to briefly pause before an understudy stepped in to complete the show.
She was quickly transported to a nearby hospital, where she underwent evaluation by medical staff. While the exact cause of her condition has not been publicly confirmed, sources close to the situation say she is currently being monitored as doctors work to determine what led to the sudden health scare
Following the incident, Megan reassured fans, letting them know she is receiving proper care and appreciates the outpouring of support. Messages flooded social media shortly after the news broke, with fans and fellow artists sending prayers and well wishes for a speedy recovery.
“Last night was a real wake-up call for me. I’ve been pushing myself past my limits lately, running on empty, and my body finally said enough. It honestly scared me. I thought I was gonna faint on stage, I really tried to push through my performance but I just couldn’” she wrote via Instagram.
“Hotties I wanna be real with y’all because you mean everything to me and I hate letting yall down I just need one day to rest, reset, and take care of myself the way I should have been..I’ll be right back on that stage Thursday, stronger, clearer, and ready to give you 100% the way you deserve. Thank you for always riding with me and loving me through everything..”
The unexpected hospitalization comes just days after Megan stepped into the spotlight on Broadway, taking on a historic role in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Her appearance marked a major milestone, further expanding her reach beyond music and into live theater.
Megan says she will return to the stage this Thursday.
