Natasha Rothwell is set to bring the viral TikTok series “Who TF Did I Marry?” to life.

Earlier this year, Taeresa “Reesa Teesa” Johnson went on TikTok to share her experience and relationship with her ex-husband, who she described as a pathological liar. The 50-video series gained over 450 million impressions on social media. Johnson also gained over 3 million followers within two weeks.

In the series, Johnson shared that her ex-husband lied about being a football player for San Diego State University although he never went to the school. He also lied about the death of his stepdaughter and asked for money for the funeral, she would later learn that she wasn’t dead. She claimed that her ex-husband also had a social security number that didn’t match the one on their marriage license.

In her story, Ressa Teesa referred to her husband as Legion, however, TikTok users quickly found out his identity and his real name which was Jerome McCoy. He would later respond to Johnson’s story and denied all allegations. Since going viral, many asked for a film or TV series to be made around her story.

Natasha Rothwell has granted everyone’s wishes. The actress, who played Kelli Prenny in the hit show Insecure, is set to direct and produce a TV adaptation of Who TF Did I Marry? Rothwell will also star in the project as Reesa Teesa.

Johnson spoke about the amazing news on Instagram, “It’s official baby!!! I’m so freaking excited about this. I know choosing to work with @natasharothwell is the best decision. I cannot wait for us to bring this experience to life. LFG!!!”

This news comes after Natasha Rothwell’s new series How To Die Alone is set to premiere on Hulu on September 13.
