Ne-Yo has released his second country-inspired single ahead of his forthcoming country album.
Announced on Friday (March 27), the three-time GRAMMY Award winner’s new single, “Up, Out, & Gone,” now available to stream.
“Up Out & Gone” continues Ne-Yo’s move into country inspired music. The track blends his smooth R&B sound with modern country elements, creating an easy, feel-good record. With catchy hooks and a laid-back vibe, the song captures the joy of a night out and the simple moments that make life memorable.
The song celebrates staying young at heart and reconnecting with the joy of living in the moment, with lyrics such as “Dancing under moonlight, sipping on something strong. The good times don’t last long, so we up and we out, and we gone.”
In September 2025, Ne-Yo visited the Joe and Jada podcast where he teased that a full-length album was in the works. He said the project is “coming soon,” though a title for it hasn’t yet been publicly announced.
The new single builds on the momentum of Ne-Yo’s first country-inspired release, “Simple Things,” following his historic Grand Ole Opry debut where he premiered the track and performed a medley of fan favorites. He also made an apppearance at the 2025 CMA Awards ceremony, where he presented the “Vocal Duo of the Year” award alongside Gretchen Wilson.
The release arrives during a milestone period for the “Irreplaceable” writer. Earlier this year, he celebrated the 20-year anniversary of his debut album In My Own Words, the project that launched his career and featured the breakout hit “So Sick.”
Next month Ne-Yo will bring this same feel-good energy to fans worldwide on his upcoming co-headlining ‘Nights Like This’ global tour with Akon. The massive 57-city tour kicks off on Friday, April 24 at 3Arena in Dublin making stops in London, Paris, Atlanta, Houston, Toronto, and more before wrapping up in Inglewood, CA at Intuit Dome on Friday, August 21.
Beyond music, the veteran singer continues to expand his work across entertainment and community efforts. He recently made his Broadway debut in Hell’s Kitchen, the multi-award-winning production created by and inspired by Alicia Keys, earning a nomination at the iHeartRadio Music Awards for Favorite Broadway Debut.
