Ime Udoka may be taking his ex-fiancé, Nia Long, to court to fight for joint custody of their son.
It was reported that last month, the actress asked the judge for full legal and physical custody of their child, Kez. She also filed for her Udoka to cover all of the court fees and stipulation that would allow him to see his son that works best for the child.
The reason the motion was filed was because Long has claimed that since their break-up, the former Boston Celtic’s coach has not fulfilled his parental duties. Udoka also feels that he and The Best Man star should pay their own court fees and bills.
This custody battle comes almost a year after Ime Udoka was caught having an affair with a female staffer, which caused him to be terminated. Udoka and Nia Long began dating in 2009 and got engaged in 2015. Their son Kez, 11, was born in 2011 and Long has a 22-year-old son from a previous relationship.
In a previous interview, Long spoke on her ex’s scandal, “I think the most heartbreaking thing about all of this was seeing my son’s face when the Boston Celtics organization decided to make a very private situation public.”
She continued, “No one from the Celtics organization has even called to see if I’m okay, to see if my children are okay. It’s very disappointing.”
