Nicki Minaj is affirming her status in the MAGA movement.

Minaj made an unexpected appearance at Turning Point USA’s AmericaFest convention in Arizona, the conservative youth movement founded by Charlie Kirk.

The rapper lauded President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance as “role models” for young men. She was one stage with Erika Kirk, the widow of Charlie Kirk.

“This administration is full of people with heart and soul, and they make me proud of them. Our vice president he makes me … well, I love both of them,” Minaj said. “Both of them have a very uncanny ability to be someone that you relate to.”

Minaj mocked California Gov. Gavin Newsom, calling him “New-scum”, a nickname Trump the California governor.

It wasn’t long before Minaj made a major gaffe, calling Vance an “assassin.”

“You have amazing role models like the assassin, JD Vance, our vice president,” Minaj said before realizing her choice of words. Charlie Kirk was fatally shot during a Turning Point USA event on the campus of Utah Valley University in September. She covered her mouth with her palm, showing her embarrassment.

“If the internet wants to clip it, who cares? I love this woman,” said Erika Kirk, attempting to console her.

“Trust me, there’s nothing new under the sun that I have not heard, so you’re fine… I love you. You have to laugh about it truly,” Kirk told Minaj. “You say what you want to say, because I know your heart and I will not judge that.”

Minaj first showed her public support of the Trump administration when she spoke at a panel at the U.S. mission to the United Nations. The panel was about the persecutions of Christians in Nigeria.

“Reading this made me feel a deep sense of gratitude. We live in a country where we can freely worship God,” Minaj shared on X at the time.
