Multifaceted icon, Pharrell Williams, has just launched his new brand – Virginia – which is also a creative alias and community platform.
Virginia is a destination where music, fashion, design, and community converge. Williams said the initiative is meant to allow “experimentation, storytelling, and direct connection,” spanning music, fashion, design, and community outreach.
In promotion of the platform, an outdoor campaign launched across Pharrell’s home state of Virginia, featuring aerial banners, large-format billboards, and wheatpasting across the city, teasing what’s to come. Virginia will expand to offer live events, limited-edition product drops, new music, and early access to collaborations.
Pharrell posted about the initiative on his Instagram, and website, blackyachtrock.com (named after his surprise album release last year). The site includes limited edition VIRGINIA-branded merchandise. Among the items is the Pharrell-designed VIRGINIA Adistair Jellyfish sneakers from ADIDAS, which promise to offer “a quiet statement in comfort and composure.”
“Virginia is where I’m from, but it’s also who I am creatively. It’s my space to dream, and a way to connect with people who are dreaming too,” Williams said in announcing VIRGINIA.
Williams’ other ventures include his Something In The Water Festival held in Virginia Beach and his annual Black Ambition grant program. As he continues innovating across music, fashion, and entrepreneurship, Williams remains a powerful figure in the cultural landscape, inspiring countless individuals to pursue their creative dreams through authentic expression and community engagement.
