Producer Irv Gotti has suffered a stroke according to AllHipHop‘s Kyle Eustice. The source says the stroke resulted in a brain bleed, and that Gotti is currently “not responsive.”
News of Gotti’s illness reached the likes of Russell Simmons, who took to social media and reflected on his previous conversation with Gotti. Simmons said he encouraged Gotti to visit him in Bali to undergo testing and receive natural medical treatment, but he never went.
Other celebrities like 50 Cent also reacted to the reports. In an Instagram post on Tuesday (Feb 4), the TV and movie mogul posted a screenshot of a headline about Gotti suffering a stroke and added: “Damn I wanted him to see my new shows yo!”
When Gotti suffered his first stroke in August 2024, 50 Cent was unsympathetic then as well. He posted to Instagram referencing his song “Wanksta,” which is widely believed to have been aimed at Ja Rule.
In a now-deleted post, 50 uploaded a picture of Gotti walking with a cane, writing, “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?”
He continued, writing: “I want Irv to get well, [raised eyebrow emoji] so he can have to watch my next wave [wave emoji] LOL.”
Despite all the rumors floating around, Irv Gotti’s family has not confirmed his current condition.
During an appearance on Drink Champs in 2023, Gotti acknowledged that he was struggling to get his diabetes under control and was being forced to make drastic changes to his diet.
