Rapper and entrepreneur 50 Cent is reportedly scheduled to perform this week at Executive Branch, the exclusive private club co-owned by Donald Trump Jr., marking an unexpected turn after previously distancing himself from political events.

According to multiple reports, the Grammy Award-winning artist is expected to headline a July 3 performance at the Georgetown club ahead of celebrations surrounding America’s 250th anniversary. Neither 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis Jackson, nor representatives for Executive Branch publicly confirmed the appearance as of Tuesday afternoon.

The reported booking has drawn attention because of Jackson’s previous comments about avoiding political affiliations. In late 2024, he said he declined a multimillion-dollar offer to perform during a Donald Trump campaign rally at Madison Square Garden.

Speaking during an appearance on The Breakfast Club, Jackson explained his reluctance to become involved in politics.

“I’m afraid about politics,” he said. “When you do get involved in it, no matter how you feel, someone passionately disagrees with you.”

A Different Kind of Performance

If the performance takes place as reported, it would represent a notable shift from Jackson’s earlier public stance.

Executive Branch opened as an invitation-only social club catering to wealthy business leaders, investors, and political insiders. Donald Trump Jr. launched the venue alongside financiers Omeed Malik and Christopher Buskirk. Reports have stated that annual memberships cost approximately $500,000.

The club has already hosted several well-known hip-hop artists despite its conservative political ties. Reports indicate previous performers have included Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule and Timbaland.

Jackson’s reported appearance has fueled debate online, with fans questioning whether the performance reflects a political endorsement or simply another business engagement.

Neither Jackson nor his management has publicly addressed those questions.

Long Relationship With Trump Headlines

Jackson’s relationship with President Donald Trump has frequently generated headlines over the past several years.

In 2020, he briefly voiced support for Trump while criticizing then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s proposed tax plan. Days later, he walked back those remarks after public backlash.

More recently, Jackson congratulated Trump following the 2024 presidential election while insisting he preferred to stay outside partisan politics. The social media post reignited criticism from some fans who questioned his political position.

Despite those moments, Jackson has generally portrayed himself as reluctant to publicly align with political campaigns.

That history has made the reported Executive Branch performance especially noteworthy.

The reported concert is expected to coincide with Independence Day festivities and national events commemorating the country’s semiquincentennial celebration. Organizers have not publicly released additional details about the performance or whether it will be open exclusively to club members.
