Raven-Symoné Addresses Online Hate Towards Wife

Maday clarified that her comments about not watching ‘That’s So Raven’ during her childhood were often misinterpreted.

She emphasized, “I never have once said that I did not know who Raven was. I only have ever said that I did not grow up watching That’s So Raven. But since getting married and meeting her in 2015, I have seen the majority of her work.”

Maday praised her wife’s talent, expressing her admiration and acknowledging Symoné’s contributions to the entertainment industry.

Addressing the online trolls, Raven-Symoné urged them to reconsider their actions, especially those with verified accounts. She asserted, “For all the blue checks out there acting like trolls, sit down. Thank you, no need.”

The couple had previously discussed Maday’s unfamiliarity with ‘That’s So Raven’ during an interview, sparking renewed backlash from critics. Maday explained that she felt she was “too old” when the show aired in 2003.

“I think I was a little too old,” Maday said at the time. “My sister who is five years younger than me watched That’s So Raven, loved That’s So Raven, and now that I’ve seen all of it, I love That’s So Raven.”

Raven-Symoné’s iconic role in ‘That’s So Raven’ holds a significant place in her career. Reflecting on her time on the show, she fondly recalled the experience and the lessons learned. She emphasized her gratitude for the opportunity and the positive impact it had on her journey in the entertainment industry.
