Raven-Symoné gained another win after her show “Raven’s Home” was canceled.
According to reports, the actress landed a multi-year overall deal with Disney, after the same company announced that her show won’t be returning. The actress shared her excitement about the new deal on social media.
“Thank you to #DisneybrandedTV for believing in me all these years and for years to come! Let’s get it poppin!” “Raven’s Home”, which aired on Disney for six years, was the spin-off to the 2000s hit-show, “That’s So Raven.”
Disney reports that the “That’s So Raven” franchise will have another spin-off called Alice in the Palace. “The new series picks up when Alice (Emmy Award-winning actress Mykal-Michelle Harris), Raven’s young cousin, returns to England and reunites with Duchess Clementine (also portrayed by Harris), a young royal who looks exactly like her. In the process, Clementine gets a taste of the fun side of ‘normal’ life, while Alice gets a taste of the finer side of ‘regal’ life,” the logline for the series reads.
In her deal, Raven-Symoné is also set to direct, produce, and develop a few projects across streaming and linear. She wrote in a statement about her latest expansion of her brand and said, “Disney Channel has been the canvas for my creative expressions since I was 15 years old…After years of telling stories filled with heart, laughter, and togetherness, I’m excited to embark on the next chapter of this creative journey alongside my Disney family.”
We are so excited for Raven-Symoné and her new deal.
