With bedazzled Timbaland heels, Remy Ma is stepping into the world of streaming.
The Grammy-nominated artist announced the launch of Remy Network, a brand-new digital platform dedicated to celebrating hip-hop culture through film, television, and storytelling.
The platform officially launches on November 28, which also coincides with Thanksgiving Day, making it a treat for the family.
Remy Network will operate as a free, ad-supported (AVOD) service. It will also include FAST channels (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television), giving audiences access to a range of curated shows without subscription fees.
“Everything I’m building now comes from a place of purpose. Remy Network isn’t just another streaming service; it’s a home for creativity and collaboration,” said the veteran hip hop artist.
“This network is about giving our community a stage to tell our stories our way and making sure those stories are seen and valued.”
Team Remy, which includes co-founders Roberto “Rush” Evans, a former executive at Monami Entertainment, and Steven Ward, the founder of Grama’s Boy Media, has designed this network to honor the artistry, impact, and heritage of hip-hop in an unprecedented way.
The Remy Network will feature everything from scripted series and documentaries to reality shows, concerts, and even finance-themed content, making it a comprehensive hub for all things reflecting the rhythm, hustle, and essence of hip-hop.
Remy’s latest venture is adds to her endeavors to give back to the genre. Remy Ma launched her all-female battle rap league, Chrome 23, in early 2022 as a bold move to spotlight women in the male-dominated world of battle rap.
She created the league to give female MCs the same recognition, production value, and prize money their male counterparts enjoy. Chrome 23 focuses on elevating lyricism, raw talent, and sisterhood which was ultimately a mix of competition and empowerment.
