Serayah opens up about her birthing experience two months after giving birth to her first child with her fiancé, rapper Joey Badass.

The actress shared the first installment of her pregnancy journey on her Snapchat account. “I’ve thought of a million ways to do this video, and I don’t think there’s any perfect way to do it. So imma just say this: I am a mommy now!” she said at the beginning of the video.

“We have had a perfect little human being, and he is just the best. I love him so much,” she continued as she called her son the “perfect addition” to their growing family. Joey Badass has a seven-year-old daughter from a previous relationship.

She added that she is still finding her way around in the motherhood space when it comes to her career. “Eleven months ago, I find out that I am pregnant and I’m on set for a movie that is not out yet that comes out in September. And it’s called Ruth and Boaz.” Serayah revealed that she began to feel sick on the set of the movie.

“I’m so excited and a little nervous to see the movie because of that,” she said. “I made it through the film, and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m pregnant.’ Something that I always wanted. I’ve always wanted to be a mommy.”

As the video continued, she discussed the difficulties she experienced during her early pregnancy. “Although, like I said, this was something I’ve always wanted, something I was sure of, I also had a partner that was supportive who also wanted this with me at this time,” she said. “I just want to speak for the women in this position that it’s okay to kinda fall at your knees and be like, ‘What does this mean?’”

She also revealed that six months into her pregnancy, she learned that her son was breech, which means he was head up and butt down. She said she tried everything she could to help him turn around naturally.

“I did everything under the freaking umbrella that I could to naturally turn my son. I was very determined and very confident that the baby would turn,” she said. As her due date was approaching, doctors informed her that she would need to undergo a C-section. “I’ve never had surgery on my body. It sounded terrifying to me,” she said.

She was given the option of having an ECV (External Cephalic Version) done, a procedure to manually turn the baby around; however, during an ultrasound, she learned the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck twice. “Immediately, I was overwhelmed with emotion and just started crying. I knew that this meant I was having a cesarean.”

The second part of Serayah’s story has not been released yet; however, we will keep you posted once it is.
