Shaquille O’Neal has called out Kanye West for incessantly victimizing himself on social media, telling the rap star to “man up.”
The NBA legend’s comments came in response to a post by West crediting associates Dov Charney, Jonah Hill, and Jon Rafman for remaining loyal amid backlash for previous antisemitic remarks.
“Who cares stop bi**hin and snitchin,” Shaq wrote under Ye’s post, revealing they had crossed paths at Super Bowl LVIII and challenging West to confront him directly. “I kno u saw me at the Super Bowl i was waiting for u to say something smart,” Shaq added. “Man up. Nobody wanna see u cryin, man up lil boy.”
In West’s post, which seems to have been edited or deleted, he thanked Charney for support and included a cryptic message about loyalty. “Never turn your back on people who were there for you when everyone else had their backs turned,” the caption read.
This isn’t the first time Shaq and Yeezy have clashed online. In 2022, West accused Shaq of “bullying” NBA star Kyrie Irving over controversial comments. West also highlighted Shaq’s business relationship with Jamie Salter, who is of Jewish descent and the founder of Authentic Brands Group, which includes Reebok.
“Shaq is in business with Jamie Salter,” West wrote, questioning the nature of their partnership. In response, Shaq advised West to focus on his own affairs. “Believe me you don’t know me like that,” Shaq retorted. “Worry about your business… take my advice get your family business in order.”
Shaq’s remarks on Instagram initiated a back-and-forth between the two, reflecting their ongoing tensions over social media and personal matters.
