Now, Simone’s birth sister, Micah Biles, has taken to social media to defend their mother and shed light on the family’s complex dynamics.
In a candid TikTok video, Micah, 24, spoke out against the criticism aimed at their mother. “I want to come to this internet and defend my mom because she might not be everything we expected her to be, but at the end of the day, she’s still a work in progress, and we give her that,” Micah stated. She emphasized that Shanon’s battle with addiction led to her losing custody of her children, including Simone, but urged others not to judge her too harshly.
Simone Bile’s Mother’s Struggle
Shanon Biles lost custody of her four children due to severe substance abuse when Simone was just three years old. Simone and her younger sister, Adria, were later adopted by their grandparents, while the two older siblings went to live with another relative.
