Simone Biles is facing personal challenges as her birth mother, Shanon Biles, seeks reconciliation. Shanon recently expressed her desire to reconnect with Simone, but the public response has been mixed, with many questioning her intentions. Now, Simone’s birth sister, Micah Biles, has taken to social media to defend their mother and shed light on the family’s complex dynamics.

In a candid TikTok video, Micah, 24, spoke out against the criticism aimed at their mother. “I want to come to this internet and defend my mom because she might not be everything we expected her to be, but at the end of the day, she’s still a work in progress, and we give her that,” Micah stated. She emphasized that Shanon’s battle with addiction led to her losing custody of her children, including Simone, but urged others not to judge her too harshly.

Simone Bile’s Mother’s Struggle

Shanon Biles lost custody of her four children due to severe substance abuse when Simone was just three years old. Simone and her younger sister, Adria, were later adopted by their grandparents, while the two older siblings went to live with another relative. Shanon has since reconnected with some of her children but remains estranged from Simone, who has chosen to keep her distance.

Micah, who did not establish a relationship with Shanon until she was 17, expressed frustration with the negative comments about their mother. “I’m not going to let y’all get on this internet and bash my mom, or say anything bad, or anything of that sort because she’s not a bad person,” Micah insisted. She acknowledged that Simone’s circumstances changed for the better after being adopted but defended Shanon’s efforts to reconnect with her children.
