If you’ve been keeping up with the Paris Olympics, you may have seen Snoop Dogg in several photo ops. Apparently his presence comes with a hefty Olympic paycheck.
According to venture capitalist Henry McNamara, Snoop Dogg is allegedly being paid $500,000 a day plus expenses for his Olympics coverage with NBC.
McNamara claims an NBC executive revealed the rate the rapper was being paid at dinner.
“Sat next to an NBC exec at dinner, he said Snoop gets paid $500k a day plus expenses to be here promoting Olympics,” McNamara posted. “From Gin and Juice to a few million to be a celebrity at the Olympics – what a world.”
If you do the math – including the full 17 days of the Olympics – his earnings could exceed $8.5 million.
The iconic rapper arrived in Paris and told AP, “But remember, I’m a rapper. So ain’t no rapper ever did what I’m doing,” he said. “Rappers aren’t supposed to do this. I tend to do the unthinkable.”
Throughout the Paris Games, Snoop has made a series of memorable appearances. He carried the Olympic torch, served as NBC’s prime-time correspondent, and attended numerous events, from swimming with Michael Phelps to cheering on Caeleb Dressel with the swimmer’s family.

“This opportunity was nothing but a chance for me to show the world what it’s supposed to look like when you put the right person in the right environment,” Snoop told AP.
Despite reports that Snoop is earning $500,000 a day at the Olympics, it isn’t confirmed. And though we can’t confirm his paystub, we do know that Snoop is having the time of his life.
