Snoop Dogg finally broke his silence and addressed the criticism he received for performing at the Crypto Ball event, which honored Donald Trump.
The rapper went on Instagram Live to tell his fans that they shouldn’t stress about the decisions he chooses to make. After it was announced that Snoop would perform at the event, he received a lot of backlash from fans, however, Snoop said that he wasn’t bothered by it.
“It’s Sunday man, I got gospel in my heart. For all that hate, I’m going to answer with love. Y’all can’t hate enough on me. I love too much,” he said. “Get your life right, stop worrying about mine. I’m cool, I’m together. Still a Black man, still 100 percent Black.”
Although he received backlash, Snoop also had some support for his decision. Stephen A. Smith claimed that Snoop’s decision was a “business move.” If you remember, during Donald Trump’s first presidency, Snoop Dogg had some choice words for him.
During an interview with London’s Sunday Times, he said he had “nothing but love and respect” for Trump and appreciated him for pardoning Michael “Harry-O” Harris, co-founder and former CEO of Death Row Records.
“He ain’t done nothing wrong to me. He has done only great things for me. He pardoned Michael Harris,” he said in the interview.
