Stephanie Mills has made a comeback to the acting world.
The legendary singer starred in Lifetime’s newest movie, Pride: A Seven Deadly Sins Story which aired on Lifetime last weekend. Mills plays the role of reality TV star, Birdie Moore who begins to go through a series of events after learning about her family’s secrets.
The movie stars Erica Campbell and allows both singers to put showcase their singing abilities. According to reports, the Lifetime network will be producing movies based on the Seven Deadly Sins. The series was inspired by the novels written by Victoria Christopher Murray with Bishop T.D.Jakes as the executive producer.

Before snatching the lead role in this film, Mills starred as Dorothy in the Broadway Play “The Wiz. She explained why she decided to take the role of Birdie Moore. “I couldn’t relate to the reality thing because I don’t like reality TV,” she said.
“But I could relate to what was going on personally. I could definitely relate to being a mother loving her son so much that she wanted to cover up whatever he was doing. I have a son who is 22 years old and he cons me every day.
