Recently at theGrio Awards, Steve Harvey got a little worked up during his acceptance speech when discussing his wife.
He was given The Television Icon Award during last weekend’s ceremony. When he accepted it, most of his speech as well as his award, he dedicated to Marjorie Harvey.
“That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires,” he said pointing to his wife.
Throughout the speech he mentioned that his wife has been “faithful” and “loyal to me,”
“85% of what y’all up here [are] talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there,” he added.
Harvey also alluded to the rumors that Marjorie cheated on him.
“We’ve been 18 years strong,” he said. “I don’t know what y’all been trying to do, but we covered, though.”
“I love you Marjorie Harvey,” he finished. “I appreciate you riding with me.”
Other honorees for the night included Mariah Carey, Don Cheadle, Misty Copeland, Kevin Hart, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Denzel Washington and Eddie Murphy.
Harvey and Marjorie met in the 90’s but said their vows to each other in 2007. In July they celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary.
After marrying, they blended their families which now includes seven children and seven grandchildren.
