Swizz Beatz owes the Internal Revenue Service more than $5.7 million in unpaid federal taxes.
Beatz, 47, is facing a hefty lien of $1,242,984 for January 2026 covering unpaid 2024 income taxes, NY Post reports.
When the previous outstanding liens are combined – totaling $4,482,273 for his 2022 and 2023 filings – the grand total reaches $5,725,257.
Beatz’s wife, Alicia Keys of 14 years, remains unnamed in any of the tax liens. Together the couple is reportedly worth $150 million.
His business manager Jeffrey Feinman called the tax debt “old news” and noted that “there are certain issues under dispute,” adding that Beatz is “working towards resolving it.”
The outlet notes that Beatz’ latest IRS issue follows decades-long history with financial debt. The first slip-up occured when he and former wife Mashonda Tifrere accumulated $2.6 million in federal liens across New York, Georgia and California.
By mid-2012 the claims compounded to $2.6 million — with another $98,246 lien for unpaid New York State taxes. However he reportedly paid $655,000 in 2016 for unpaid taxes from 2009, 2014 and 2015.
Despite the tax liens, Beatz has continued to make investments in arts and entertainment. The Bronx-born rapper has reportedly spent millions of dollars buying more than 50 racing camels for his team “Saudi Bronx.”

Their upcoming showcase highlights pieces from 37 Black American and diasporic artists spanning Africa, Europe, the United States, and the Caribbean, and runs in San Diego from April 18 through August 9.
