NPR has been recruiting some top talents for its Black Music Month edition of the Tiny Desk concert series. Now, the brand has tapped Tank for the next session.
After singing background for Babyface in the prior week’s episode, Tank brought his band and backup singers to perform songs from his 25-year music tenure.
“Some of these songs make you want to make up. Some of these songs make you want to break up, and some of these songs make you want to participate in various sexual activities, so we’re going get right to it,” Tank shared before beginning his performance.
The singer performed seven of his eight No. 1 hits as a part of his set. Some songs included When We, Can’t Let It Show, and his latest hit See Through Love.
Tank ended his set with the chart-topper, Please Don’t Go, which remained in the top spot for ten weeks.
