The 26th Annual Super Bowl Soulful Celebration, the only NFL-sanctioned multicultural and inspirational event of Super Bowl weekend, will feature a special performance by the legendary Isley Brothers.
The highly anticipated event will be hosted by Bill Bellamy and Rocsi Diaz. Additionally, this year’s Super Bowl Soulful Celebration will also honor NFL legends and leaders, including Michael Strahan (Lifetime of Inspiration Award), Cameron Jordan (Community Award), and Jared Verse (Rising Star Award).
Along with the Isley Brothers, other performers include Yolanda Adams, Master P, Lucky Daye, Big Freedia, Muni Long, Trombone Shorty, Jonathan McReynolds, Tori Kelly, and the NFL Players Choir.
With a career spanning over seven decades, the Isley Brothers are one of the most iconic acts in music history. They rose to prominence in 1959 with their classic single, “Shout.” The song became their first single to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 and sold more than a million copies. In 1968, they won one Grammy Award for the hit song “It’s Your Thing.”
They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1992, receiving one of the ultimate honors given out in the music industry.
With their first major hit charting in 1959 (“Shout”), and their last one in 2001 (“Contagious”), the Isley Brothers are the only act in musical history to have charting hits in six different decades.
In 2014, they received the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014.
