Wendy Williams’ beloved Manhattan penthouse has been sold by her guardian.
According to reports, the penthouse sold on May 10th, and this is the latest issue that she has to face after being diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia and progressive aphasia in 2023. It was also stated that the former talk show host was “incapacitated,” which caused her guardian to make the sale.
The penthouse also sold for $3.75 Million which was a $822,000 decrease when it was purchased in July 2021. A source close to Williams said, “Wendy’s dream has always been to live in Manhattan in a dream apartment but never got a chance to do so. It is a very unfortunate situation.”
However, during the midst of this, Williams was selling her belongings including her purple chair from her show, “The Wendy Williams Show,” due to dealing with some tax problems. Williams is reportedly thinking about relocating to Los Angeles but it has not been confirmed yet.
Many fans on social media quickly reacted to the news of the penthouse being sold. One user said, “Unfortunately, this is what happens when you surround yourself with leeches and don’t have anyone solid in your corner. The guardian siphons your money because her family is grimy and can’t be trusted either. Poor Wendy, going out like this.”
Another one added, “They are robbing this woman blind.” They were even calling on her son to step in and help his mother.
