Wendy Williams has been seen since her hospital evaluation.
Earlier this week, the former talkshow host was seen with her niece, Alex Finnie, going to dinner at Tucci in NoHo. This outing came two days after she was taken to the hospital by the NYPD for a mental health evaluation.
According to reports, the NYPD was responding to a welfare check on Williams after she allegedly threw a note out of the window at the assisted living facility that read, “Help.” The following day, Williams revealed on “Good Day New York” that she passed her mental competency tests.
In 2023, Wendy Williams was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia and later declared permanently incapacitated. Gina Monterrosa, her caretaker, was at the hospital with Williams and also revealed that she was not incapacitated.
“I think it’s great news, and it’s public, and everybody knows factually that Wendy’s not incapacitated,” Monterrosa said. The evaluation was to prove that Williams could be released from her guardianship and be on her own.
Wendy Williams was placed in her guardianship in 2022. She has spoken out previously about her mental health and has said that the issues surrounding her health were false.
