The time has come for fans to hear Will Smith’s side of the story, sort of. The actor took to social media to share his thoughts on all the discourse surrounding his marriage with Jada Pinkett Smith.
His wife has been the subject of many headlines lately after revealing details about her marriage. One of the biggest bombs she has dropped was revealing that her and Smith have been separated since 2016. Since then, many people have given their opinions on social media and have been waiting to hear his side of the story.
Will Smith finally spoke up and made light of the controversy in a video captioned “OFFICIAL STATEMENT.”
He started the video by saying,”I got something for you, my opinion…” and then paused for a sneeze. As he sneezed the video continuously zoomed out to show several different landscapes including mountains and lakes. At the end of the comical time warping, fans still didn’t get to hear his actual opinion.
This video comes after his first post after Jada revealed the news. In the video he posted, he was taking a nap on a boat with the caption “notifications off.”
Although fans haven’t gotten his reactions on video, Smith has opened up about the book. In an email to the New York Times, he expressed how he reflected on himself after reading her words.
“When you’ve been with someone for more than half of your life a sort of emotional blindness sets in,” Smith wrote, noting that he hadn’t realized just how on the edge she had lived. “You can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”
