In this week’s In Case You Didn’t Know, Zayna Allen goes over a few hip-hop and R&B acts that have headlined Coachella in its 22 year history.
After starting in 1999, the festival’s first act in the hip-hop and r&b space was Prince in 2008. Two years later it was Jay-Z. From then on there were acts like Kanye West, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Outkast, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Beyonce, Childish Gambino, and this year was Frank Ocean.
