Legendary singer, Bob Caldwell passed away in his sleep on March 14 at 71 years old. An official cause of death hasn’t been released. Diddy is joining the bid to buy BET. We covered it here on the rewind last week, Tyler Perry, and Byron Allen are interested in having a majority stake in the network. According to Variety, Diddy wants to acquire BET to fulfill his dream of building a Black-owned global media powerhouse because according to him, people of color have the most influence but the least control.

Sherri Shepherd:

Sheri Shepard reflected on her time in jail and said it’s one of the reasons she has a successful career. During an interview, she spoke on how in the early ’90s, she spent 8 days behind bars due to owing $10,000 in unpaid moving violations. She said, “Yeah, I went to jail for not paying my tickets. At the time I did not think being in jail was a good moment, but looking back I learned to pay all my bills.” Sheri called it life lesson.
