A Psychiatric Report Says R. Kelly Blames His Ex-Wife For His Sexual Behaviors

A psychiatric report reveals new information about R. Kelly.

According to a report obtained by Radar Online, the 55-year-old disgraced R&B singer blames his ex-wife, Drea Kelly, 48, for his sexual behaviors. The two were married from 1996 to 2009.

The report says a doctor sat with the singer for multiple sessions, discussing topics such as R. Kelly’s childhood, past relationships, and sexual preferences. In addition, R. Kelly claims Drea’s dreams of becoming a dancer “interfered” with the marriage. She wanted to pursue her dance career, but when they married, she “agreed” to be a housewife.

In the sessions, the singer also blames Drea for his estranged relationship with his three children, Joann, 24, Jaah, 22, and Robert Kelly Jr., 20. In addition, he “admitted” his “problematic sexual behaviors” caused him “significant social consequences,” such as not being able to sustain a romantic relationship or, maintain a platonic relationship. According to the publication, the report said,

“Mr. Kelly stated that his sexual history related to conflict with his ex-wife of subsequent estrangement from his children.”

The “Bump N’ Grind’s” legal team hoped the psychiatric report would lighten his sentence, but it didn’t. R. Kelly was found guilty of sex trafficking and racketeering. He was sentenced to 30 years in prison.
