Anthony Anderson Reveals A Stunt-Gone-Wrong Landed Him In ER

Anthony Anderson is in good spirits after an unexpected turn of events on the set of his current movie, G20, landed him in the emergency room.

Sharing his ordeal on Instagram, the Black-ish star, posted a photo of himself smiling on a hospital gurney, recounting a movie stunt “gone wrong” that resulted in an injury.

“I spent the night in the emergency room. Movie set fight gone wrong. Me against two goons and a chair! Guess who didn’t win!” joked Anderson. “Who needs a stuntman? Me, that’s who! I’m not as young as I used to be!”

Despite the mishap, Anderson reassured his fans that his CT scan and X-rays revealed nothing fractured or broken in his back, only a deep contusion. He humorously remarked, “That chair will never be the same though! Bloodied and bowed but never broken!”

In another post, Anderson shared a photo of the notorious chair that inflicted the injury.

“Something about it is menacing,” he jokingly captioned the post. “It sucker punched me in the kidneys and back with no mercy! When I got on set today, it was grinning at me! Little does he know I got something for that ass! He gone learn today!”

His Black-ish costar Tracee Ellis Ross commented on the hospital photo, expressing relief, “you are not made of rubber. I’m so glad you are ok.”

Currently filming G20 alongside Viola Davis, Clark Gregg, Antony Starr, and Marsai Martin, Anderson previously shared his excitement about the project on Instagram. The thriller revolves around terrorists taking over the G20 Summit, with Viola Davis portraying the U.S. president stepping up to protect her family and other world leaders.
