Our girl Mary J. Blige will be back on our television screens!
The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul landed a new role in Gerard Way’s new Netflix series The Umbrella Academy.
Mary plays Cha-Cha, “an assassin that can travel through time and has a thing for torturing her targets.” Cha-Cha’s character is described as a sadistic and sociopathic “pain artist.”
According to Pitchfork, the show focuses on a “dysfunctional family of superheroes” determined to solve the mystery of their father’s death, and to save the world from impending doom.
