After announcing that she will be joining the cast of the hit Broadway musical Once On This Island, just two weeks ago, Michelle Williams was ordered to leave the show effective immediately by her doctors.
Williams was set to play the role the goddess Erzulie until January 6th, but her doctors suggested otherwise. A statement on this matter was released by the Tony- award winning show, that read, “Effective immediately, Michelle T. Williams has been advised by her doctors to take a leave of absence from performing.”
Williams has been going through a lot this year. In July, the singer had announced that she was battling depression and seeking help to overcome it and had just recently ended her engagement to Chad Johnson.
We are sending our prayers to MIchelle Williams. There’s no word on when Williams will return back to show.
