Erica Mena has officially been fired from Love And Hip-Hop: Atlanta after calling former co-star, Spice a monkey.

We reported that the incident occurred during the airing of the August 29th episode when Erica and Spice were having dinner with their friend Shekinah to fix their issues. During their interaction, Spice mentioned that Erica’s eldest son didn’t like her. The statement led to Erica flipping the table on the dancehall artist.

After being taken out of the restaurant, Erica began shouting that Spice looked like a blue monkey. Fans on social media quickly began to call out Mona Scott Young, Erica Mena, and production for not editing that part out of the episode.

The Love and Hip-Hop account released a statement about Erica Mena and their steps moving forward. “The Love and Hip-Hop franchise never shields away from hard conversations in our community. Working hand-in-hand with our partners, viewers will see the impact of Erica Mena’s remarks play out in the final three episodes of the season, Effective immediately, she will not appear in th next season of Love and Hip-Hop: Atlanta.

Shortly after the announcement was made, Mona Scott Young wrote on her social media account that everything was “handled” and fans believed that she only fired Mena after getting a lot of backlash.
