A 27-year-old Florida man is behind bars after taking a loaded AK-47 to his son’s middle school in West Palm Beach, F.L.

Christopher Freeman rolled into Bear Lakes Middle School in his wheelchair yesterday afternoon to confront a teacher who allegedly “slammed” his son earlier in the day. The Palm Beach County police report states that Freeman was listening to his son crying on the phone after an altercation with a teacher. The middle schooler said the teacher “slammed him.”

Like any protective parent, Freeman went to his son’s school to address the problem. Surprisingly, the Florida father showed up, threatening teachers with his assault rifle.

The arrest affidavit states, “Freeman was visibly upset and was yelling and screaming ‘you’re going to need more than what you got because of what I got. He also said ‘I want to see the guy who slammed my son. I’ve got something for him.’”

Freeman was held on a $75,000 bond until authorities motioned to have it revoked, “citing a separate active criminal case against him,” ABC News reports.

Freeman’s attorney, Jack Fleishman, said, “This was more of a misunderstanding than a crime. He had no intention of harming anyone,” Fleischman told ABC News. “We’re interested in seeing if there is any security video from school because there were allegations about his child being hit.”
