As 2022 comes to a close, we have witnessed a lot of things go down on television. Moments that shocked us, made us cry, laugh, and/or even disgusted us. As hard as it was to narrow down these moments into this list, here is what we considered some of the biggest tv moments that took place in 2022.
Will Smith Slaps Chris Rock At The Oscars.
This year the world stopped after Will Smith slapped Chris Rock at The Oscars. Rock had made a joke about Smith’s wife, Jada. After seeing that she did not think the joke was funny, the actor walked onto the stage and slapped the comedian, and then proceeded to yell “Keep my wife’s name out of her motherf***ing mouth.” The slap would later be known as the “slap heard around the world.”
Sheryl Lee Ralph Wins Big!
Sheryl Lee Ralph made a huge milestone in her career this year and fans had a front-row seat to it. During the 74th Emmy Awards, Lee Ralph won her first Emmy for best-supporting actress in a Comedy Series for her role in Abbott Elementary. After she won, the actress would do on and give a moving speech that resonates with so many people to this very day.
Erica Mena And Safaree’s Divorce
The world sat and watched as Erica Mena and Safaree’s relationship came to an end. They also went on to drag Safaree for publicly embarrassing her after he was the one who chased after her for years. The two ended up getting married, having two children, and ending their relationship with a nasty divorce. The world watched as Mena broke down and almost lost her life due to the stress of her relationship and they rejoiced with her when it was announced that her divorce was finalized.

Trevor Noah’s Ode To Black Women.
Trevor Noah has officially left his post on The Daily Show but he couldn’t leave without giving out his special dedications, especially to Black women. During his thank you speech of course he became teary-eyed remembering how Black women were there for him at the start of his show. See the post below.

Now if you have been keeping up with this season of The Real Housewives of Potomac, then you know it has been a spicy one. Tensions have boiled over between Mia Thornton and Wendy Osefo during a dinner while out on the town in Miami. During a verbal dispute between the two cast members, Thornton throws a drink on Osefo and all hell broke loose.
