Janet Jackson had a special surprise for her fans during her show at Madison Square Garden. On Tuesday, May 9, Jackson bought out Busta Rhymes to perform their 1998 hit, “What’s It Gonna Be?” for the first time.

In certain videos, Rhymes and Jackson can be seen dancing together as the audience was feeling their onstage chemistry. After the performance, Busta honored the “Control” singer by giving her gifts and more.

“We’re going to give you your flowers… your botanical garden while you can smell them,” he said as a bouquet of flowers was rolled out on the stage. “In 1998, 25 years ago, I’m on the Belt Parkway going from Long Island to Manhattan, I’m listening to Janet Jackson do an interview with Hot 97.”

He continued, “Janet Jackson was doing an interview promoting the Velvet Rope album and she was asked ‘What rapper have you never worked with before that you would like to work with? She said Busta Rhymes.’ Excuse my language but I almost crashed my f*****g car.”

Busta added, “To this day, our video is the most expensive Hip Hop video made in the history of Hip Hop culture.” The rapper later went on Instagram to express his feelings about being able to perform with Janet.
