Katherine Jackson is not going down without a fight.

After we reported that her grandson, Bigi (formerly known as Blanket), decided to take her to court in an attempt to stop her from using the estate funds to pay her legal fees, the family matriarch issued a response.

According to reports, Jackson filed a motion on March 20th that alleges the executors “are being too frugal with how the estate’s money is being awarded to its beneficiaries.” The motion also states, “It seems clear to Katherine that the Executors are holding all of the assets in the Estate in order to keep control over them, and to avoid the more liberal distribution requirements of the Trust.”

She also argues that “the Executors cannot in good faith contend that the Estate does not have sufficient available funds to allow the Trust to make the requested payment.” Jackson’s attorneys claim that there will be “no loss to creditors or injury to the estate or any interested person to cover her legal fees.”

It continued, “This vastly exceeds its potential liabilities, and leaves hundreds of millions of dollars available for the remainder beneficiaries.”

Jackson and her attorneys were in court last Friday, requesting that the estate pay $500,000 in legal fees she had accumulated in a battle with Jackson’s executors. Her latest petition comes after Bigi objected to his grandmother’s request stating that her request would not benefit the late singer’s beneficiaries.
