Kehlani Reportedly Sexually Assaulted At UK Show

Kehlani is known to interact with her fans during her performances. At a recent show in the United Kingdom, the singer says they were sexually assaulted by a member of the crowd.

The Oakland singer wrapped up the European leg of her Blue Water Road Trip tour Monday night in Manchester. According to GRM Daily, the O2 Victoria Warehouse performance was outstanding. Aside from technical issues, Kehlani put on a “sensational show.” Even when a fan passed out during the show, the singer assisted security in finding them. Kehlani paused the performance until the person was safe and picked up right where the show left off. Dreya Mac was brought out on stage to perform for for the crowd as well.

Later that night, the singer took to Instagram to share that they had been touched inappropriately during the show. “I’ve made video after video after video and deleted it because i don’t want any video of me as angry, triggered, crying upset as i am anywhere,” the singer said in their Instagram stories. “I don’t care how sexual you deem my music, my performances, my fun with my friends dancing at clubs, or ME…. ” The post has since been deleted. Currently, it is unclear when the attack happened.

Additionally, Kehlani added that this made them “sick to my stomach.”

Kehlani’s Advocacy For Sexual Assault Victims

The Can I singer has opened up previously about their experiences with sexual assault. They have also been an advocate for those dealing with SA. On a 2019 episode of their podcast, Sunday Gems, they shared some words of encouragement for those who are going through this. “All I want to say is, ‘Sending love to everybody who’s on a healing path right now, and sending love to everybody who needs it. And if you’re apologizing for abuse, you’re disgusting. Suck my d***.’”
