Destiny’s Child may be done, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find their look-a-likes on stage.

Yesterday (Apr. 23), Beyonce’s superstar father, Matthew Knowles, announced he’s bringing the story of Destiny’s Child to life with Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical – and he has plans of taking the show to Broadway and London’s famed West End.

Bey’s former manager released a statement about the musical via his website, matthewknowles.com.

“I want to pull back the curtain,” he says. “I feel it’s time to give the world an opportunity to hear, see and feel the victories and failures that I’ve had as a husband, father and manager who risked everything in pursuit of fulfilling dreams – those of mine and others.”

Knowles says the musical starts at the group’s beginning and continues through their journey to 150 million albums sold, but there’s a twist. DC’s story will be told from the former dad-a-ger’s perspective.

Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical will start its roller coaster tale at the point of humble beginnings and travel through a captivating storyline addressing the layers of evolution — good and bad — that Knowles faced during his pioneering climb into the music industry,” the statement said.

Knowles is partnering with theater vet and Houston native Je’Caryous Johnson to bring his story to life.

“I am ecstatic to be working with Mr. Knowles on the development of Survivor: The Destiny’s Child Musical,” says Johnson. “It is a unique and inspiring story that will fearlessly tackle hard truths, while bringing both vindication and healing to all who lived it. It’s fair, it’s real and it’s an absolute honor to know that Mr. Knowles trusts me to pen and produce such an iconic piece of American history.”
