According to TMZ, R.Kelly’s lawyer made it clear that he is not the reason why the meeting with Azriel Clary’s family was abruptly cancelled.
On Saturday night in Chicago, Clary was supposed to meet with her family after years of not seeing each other, however, things went left last minute, changing all of the plans.
Kelly’s lawyer Steve Greenberg told TMZ that Azriel switched the meeting location to the Trump Tower Chicago to avoid the media, nonetheless her family did not agree, and immediately pulled the plug.
Michael Avenatti, the lawyer of Azriel’s family, claims they are working on rescheduling: “On Friday, R Kelly’s camp tried to abruptly change the terms of the meeting at which time my clients and I decided not to participate because the terms were not acceptable. We are now attempting to reschedule the meeting on agreeable terms so my clients can see their daughter.” – M.A
