SUPPORT HARLEM NOW! Harlem Community Relief Fund

Black, Hispanic, and non-Asian people of color in New York City are twice to three times as likely to die of COVID-19. We need your help to support the Greater Harlem communities during this most challenging of times.  To help those most severely impacted by the pandemic uptown, The Greater Harlem Chamber of Commerce in concert with The City College of New York, Columbia University, WBLS-FM / WLIB-AM, the NAACP, and other renowned organizations have launched a weekly meal service program and more.  We are working together to support and sponsor the following areas:

  1. A daily food feed for needy families and the homeless.
  2. Support initiatives for Harlem Hospital and Senior Citizens Programs.
  3. Tablets and computers for school children currently unable to participate in virtual classes.
  4. Tablets for patients isolated in hospitals to allow for communication with their family members who are unable to visit them.
  5. The coordination of support services for small businesses and not-for-profit services impacted by the pandemic.
  6. A weekly series of radio programs with information related to the pandemic provided by The Chamber and a network of health, education, business, technology, religious, cultural, and civic leaders.

The free family food program will take place each week from Tuesday through Saturday from 11AM to 3PM at SUMC on W. 129th St. & Adam Clayton Powell, Jr. Boulevard. This program will continue for a two-month period through June 7th and longer if needed.

Your help and support has never been more needed than now.
