As if filming the latest Bad Boys installment isn’t enough for the hardest working man in show business, Will Smith has signed on to Star Thrower Entertainment’s upcoming flick about the life of Venus and Serena Williams’ father, Richard Williams, called King Richard.
Variety reports the film is based on a script by writer and director Zach Baylin. It chronicles the life of Richard Williams as he overcame hardship, constant skepticism, a troubled past in an effort to instruct his daughters – all starting when Venus and Serena were around four years old.

In addition to starring in the film, Smith will also have a hand in the film’s production via his Overbook Entertainment company. Executive producers also include Allan Mandelbaum (Star Thrower Entertainment) and Caleeb Pinkett (Overbook Entertainment).
