R&B singer Aaron Hall is reportedly evading process servers in connection to a civil lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of sexual assault.
The Guy group member, was named in a 2023 lawsuit brought by Liza Gardner, accusing the singer and Bad Boy executive of sexually assaulting her in 1991 when she was 16 years old. She alleged Combs gave her alcohol and forced her to perform sexual acts in Hall’s New Jersey apartment. The singer allegedly “burst into the room,” assaulted her and left her feeling “shocked and traumatized.”
Gardner’s attorney, Tyrone A. Blackburn, have tried to serve Hall with legal documents for over a year with no success. Despite wide-ranging efforts, Hall remains legally “missing,” meaning he cannot be found to receive court papers.
Processors first tried to serve him at a View Park, Calif., address on June 12, 2024, but it was confirmed by current residents that he’d moved.
According to court filings, in March 2025, Blackburn sought permission from a judge to serve Hall by publication, a last resort legal method. The request would allow legal notices to be published in the Los Angeles Times and the South Fulton Neighbor, while also mailing documents to Hall’s last known addresses.
In September 2025, Blackburn pivoted to a more aggressive approach. The attorney hired private investigator Carlos Jackson, who conducted database searches and physically canvassed areas in Los Angeles County where Hall was previously known to frequent.
Despite at least 10 different attempts across various locations, Jackson found no viable leads or confirmed sightings.
Hall has not publicly responded to the lawsuit. While he is seemingly evading being served, Hall is not considered a “missing person.”
The term “missing” here applies to his legal status—specifically, his avoidance of being served. Until Hall is formally served, the lawsuit cannot move forward against him in full. This legal delay has frustrated the plaintiff’s legal team and fueled online speculation.
